This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how IAmI Authentications, Inc. ("IAmI”) collects, uses, shares, and retains personally identifiable information you provide. The Policy is effective as of April 17th, 2016. This Policy also does not cover the practices of our licensees or business partners (such as clients, vendors, sponsors, or advertisers), nor does it apply to personally identifiable information that we collect from or about our employees, consultants, contractors, vendors, licensees, sponsors, or advertisers.
From time to time, IAmI may need to update or modify this Policy, including to address new issues or to reflect changes on our web site, including our main site located at www.useiami.com ("Site”). To the extent required by law, IAmI will notify you of material changes to this Policy, including by posting the most recent version of the Privacy Policy and information about the changes from the previous version on the IAmI web site.
IAmI manages and maintains various sets of information of both clients and users to its authentication platform.
Clients: IAmI collects and maintains a variety of personally identifiable information, including registered business names, business addresses, company websites, names of security officers/ executives, business emails and business telephones. IAmI collects information directly from you through, for example, online account registration forms.
Users: IAmI does not collect any Personally Identifiable Information of users to its authentication platform. Users are only required to register themselves to the IAmI One Touch Authentication smartphone app, by entering the UUID (Universal Unique Identifier) or unique token that has been provided to them by their service provider and/or employer. IAmI may also maintain information about you that you do not directly provide, whether it is information regarding your login behaviour and activities with clients and geo-location.
IAmI may also collect certain information passively, such as collecting online, non-identifying information through the use of cookies technology and/or Internet Protocol ("IP”) address tracking. Non-personal identification information might include the browser used by you, the type of computer, type of smartphone device, the operating systems, the Internet service providers, and other similar information.
IAmI uses reasonable measures to safeguard sensitive personally identifiable information, which measures are appropriate to the type of information maintained, and follows applicable laws regarding safeguarding any such information under our control. In addition, in some areas of our Site and authentication platform, IAmI may use Secure Socket Layer ("SSL”) or Transport Layer Security ("TLS”) encryption technology to enhance data privacy and help prevent loss, misuse, or alteration of the information under IAmI’s control. IAmI cannot guarantee, however, that your information will remain secure. The Internet by its nature is a public forum, and IAmI encourages you to use caution when disclosing information online and to exercise the best measures possible to protect your own usernames and passwords.
